JOB SUMMARY
Promote, and sell products and services in the China market. This includes new products and spare parts as well as repair and refurbishmentservice. Expected to secure annual sales inbound of $7.5M -$15M annually.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Travel to customer site to complete a variety of assignments,including but not limited to, commissioning of new equipment, providingwarranty troubleshooting and repair support, training customers on operationand/or maintenance of products, and execution of paid service work to repair orupgrade a customer’s unit in the field.
· Development of Product Services sales opportunities with customers. Representative to explore customerrequirements to promote parts kits, training, repairs, unit inspections, andequipment refurbishment. In addition,representatives should seek out, identify, and effectively communicateinformation regarding competitive products and services.
· Work with customer purchasing, legal and technical personnel to ensure equipment compliance with tenders pecifications.
· Prepare and produce proposal and tender documents.
· Independent development of account and business strategies.
· Develop and deliver presentations to various levels within thecustomer’s organization.
· Provide liaison support with other departments, including communication with engineering, vendors, shippingand/or other field service representatives to resolve customer issues in atimely manner.
· Effectively interact with Senior Management. Identify opportunities for executive sales and escortmanagement on customer calls.
· Participate and contribute to successful Ad Hoc project management,training program development, instructional development and generic problemanalysis on an as-required basis.
· Effectively work with customersto develop win-win solutions with the as part of problem resolution includingtechnical, financial and logistics issues.
· Secure payment on past duecustomer accounts.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Educationand Experience:
· Completion of college level degree with an MBA or sufficient businessexperience.
· Technical training or experience.
· Familiar with contracts, tender documents and the local related bidprocesses.
· Ten years of experience in sales or service related business. Aminimum of five years in the Aviation industry.
· Proficient in Mandarin and English including written and spoken.
· Able to translate technical specifications and tender documentationbetween English and Mandarin.
· Thorough understanding of contract terms, conditions including both USand Chinese law.
· Must demonstrate management growth potential.
Specialized Knowledge, Equipment, and Applications:
· Must possess a valid driver license and be capable of obtaining apassport.
· Must be able to travel extensively for extended periods of time.
· Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and be able to clearlycommunicate with customers.
· Experience and familiarity withthe airline industry in general and ramp ground handling operations inparticular.
· Proficient with laptop computer, e-mail, and internet for reports,expense reporting, and general information searches.
· Comfortable with specialized equipment operations and specificationswith a demonstrated ability to obtain a working knowledge of equipment.
· Must be able to effectively communicate and problem solve issues thatcross departmental boundaries including; engineering, accounting, field serviceand business planning support.
OTHERINFORMATION
· Make cost effective travel arrangements per travel policies to maximize effectiveness ofcost budgets.
· Represent in industryorganizations including trade shows, seminars and conferences.
· Representatives should be self-motivated,and work independently without direct supervision.
· Accountable for daily schedule andcommunication to Area Manager.
· Other projects and responsibilitiesmay be added at the company’s discretion.
· Comply with all safety andethics guidelines and demonstrate an understanding of US business guidelinesand protocol.
